High heels could create back pain and also ankle pain in future. Never wear too tight fitting shoes or loose shoes. Choose the correct footwear with the right padding and and cushions for comfort. Always allow a bit space between your thumb and the shoe, approximately a thumb's space should be left between the thumb and the shoe. Ensure this when you wear the shoe in the shop befor buying it. If one foot is larger than the other foot then try the shoe into your larger foot while choosing an new shoe. If the other shoe is big for the other foot you can use a sole inside. Try to use breathable shoeslike leather and canvas shoes. Wear high heels only for some special occasions for a short time, otherwise limit the use of high heeled shoes. 

Choosing the right shoes

Choosing the right shoes for your foot is often not give very importance. One goes for the looks and desigbn rather than choosing the one right for your foot. To know what kind of a foot you have, whether it is a normal one and flat foot or a high arched foot try this simple test. The test is called the 'Wet test'. Wet your feet and take a footprint on a dry floor or a piece of paper. Looking at the shape of the footprint you can know the stability your shoes need to have.
